Joseph Andrews

Voted "Top Workers' Compensation Lawyer" in 2019 by Delaware Today Magazine, Joseph Andrews graduated cum laude from King’s College in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania with a major in political science and a focus on accounting.  After college, he taught Latin, Algebra and American History to at-risk underprivileged youth in inner city Wilmington, Delaware through AmeriCorps at Nativity School while putting himself through Widener’s Delaware Law School night program.  Upon receiving his J.D., he was admitted to the bars of Maryland, Delaware and the U.S. District Court for Delaware, served as chief law clerk for the Chief Judge of Delaware’s Family Court and entered private practice handling construction law, contracts, corporate law and workers' compensation defense before founding The Law Office of Joseph Andrews.   

Mr. Andrews’ practice focuses primarily on workers' compensation and insurance defense in Delaware and Maryland, insurance fraud, Federal and State trademarks and debt collection.  He has testified many times before the Senate of Delaware regarding proposed amendments to the workers' compensation law and is authorized by Delaware’s Insurance Commissioner to provide continuing education courses to insurance adjusters on the compensation law through seminars he gives both at our office and throughout the East Coast.

Taylor Trapp

Voted "Top Workers' Compensation Lawyer" in 2019 by Delaware Today Magazine, Taylor Elizabeth Trapp is an associate with the Law Office of Joseph Andrews.   Ms. Trapp graduated magna cum laude from Wesley College in Dover, Delaware where she was a member of the school’s honor program.  She then received her J.D. at Syracuse University College of Law in New York.  While in law school, she participated in the school’s annual Lionel O. Grossman Trial Competition, was a member of her school’s chapter of the National Women’s Law Students’ Association and completed Syracuse Law’s Curricular Program in Estate Planning.    She was admitted to practice law in New York and Delaware and is a member of the American Bar Association, New York State Bar Association, Delaware Bar Association, Randy J. Holland Delaware Workers’ Compensation American Inn of Court and the Terry Carey American Inn of Court.

Prior to joining The Law Office of Joseph Andrews, Ms. Trapp worked for a Plaintiff Personal Injury and Workers’ Compensation firm.  Her past experience representing injured workers has provided Ms. Trapp with valuable insight when defending insurers and employers in workers’ compensation matters.   She has experience handling matters throughout all stages of litigation, including trial before Delaware's courts and hearings before the Industrial Accident Board and other State agencies.  She meets with clients in every county in the State of Delaware.  Ms. Trapp prides herself on helping ease her clients’ stress while guiding them through every stage of a case with individualized attention.  Your priority is her priority.
